Hi, I’m Corane. I'm a sustainability educator, learning designer, and strategist.
Rippology is an independent learning design practice that I created to help people connect with the ‘why’ behind sustainability. Since 2012, I’ve been designing sustainability education and engagement programmes across Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Asia-Pacific.
Why sustainability?
Growing up in an increasingly fragmented world, I came to see sustainability not just as an issue to study, but as a mirror, one that reflects how disconnected we've become from each other and from the planet we share. I believe every life deserves the chance to thrive. But that future won't come from awareness alone. It requires people who can think clearly, feel honestly, and act with courage. Education, done well, is how I develop that capacity — and that conviction is what Rippology is built on.
Rippology draws its name from the Ripple Effect — the idea that meaningful change often begins with a single, well-placed shift. When learning is thoughtfully designed, it sparks something intrinsic: changing how people think, what they value, and how they act. That shift doesn't stay contained. It moves outward, into organisations, communities, and the wider systems we are all part of.
I am particularly interested in how people learn to navigate complex sustainability challenges — not only by understanding issues and systems, but by reflecting on the values that shape their choices and finding the confidence to act differently.
My work is rooted in practice. And in the progressive education tradition, from Pestalozzi to Dewey, I found a conviction that had arrived at the same place: that meaningful learning engages three dimensions of the holistic person:
