Hi, I’m Corane. I'm a sustainability educator, learning designer, and strategist.

Rippology is an independent learning design practice that I created to help people connect with the ‘why’ behind sustainability. Since 2012, I’ve been designing sustainability education and engagement programmes across Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Asia-Pacific.

Rippology draws inspiration from the idea of the Ripple Effect — the belief that meaningful change often begins with a single shift in awareness. When learning is thoughtfully designed, it can spark intrinsic motivation, influencing how people think, decide, and act. From there, the impact spreads outward, extending beyond the boardroom and into the wider systems and communities we are all part of.

Why sustainability?

Growing up in an increasingly fragmented world, I came to see sustainability not just as an issue to study, but as a purpose to pursue. I believe that every life on this planet — human, animal, or plant — deserves the opportunity to thrive. For me, learning and education are the most powerful ways to make that belief tangible, empowering people to see their role in shaping a more sustainable future.

My approach

Never “just a lesson”

I am particularly interested in how people learn to navigate complex sustainability challenges — not only by understanding issues and systems, but also by reflecting on the personal values that shape their choices and building confidence to be different.

My programmes are significant in combining three dimensions of learning:

Head

Understanding sustainability challenges and systems

Heart

Exploring personal values and perspectives

Hand

Experimenting with practical actions and solutions
